Chasing a mind-boggling target of 253, Middlesex got there with four balls to spare in a game of incredible ball-striking which saw as many as 52 fours and 24 sixes being struck. A majestic 177-run stand between Will Jacks and Laurie Evans set the tone for Surrey who were eyeing a total of 275-plus or beyond at one stage.
